Harmony Square, 6700 North St., is a multi-use plaza on 1.6 acres in the heart of Downtown Tinley. Harmony Square was designed by the Lakota Group as a “third place” beyond work and home for residents and visitors to come to and relax.

The adaptive plaza space can accommodate events all year long, from Village staples such as the Holiday Market and Music in the Plaza to newer offerings like Movies in the Park, seasonal light shows, and children's performances. See a schedule of events at HarmonySquare.org/Events.

Harmony Square highlights include a synthetic turf lawn, a water feature, a 30x50’ concert stage, fire pits, a synthetic ice rink in the winter with curling lanes, a gateway pergola and much more. The project also includes infrastructure improvements, the reconstruction and beautification of North and South streets with brick pavers, and the construction of a new road connecting North and 173rd streets.

Harmony Square features three key buildings to house various amenities. The building at the northeast corner of Oak Park Avenue and 173rd Street contains the concert stage, a green room/backstage area for acts, skate rental in the winter, and retail space on the side facing Oak Park Avenue. The smaller structure on the northeast corner of the plaza, Studio 67, is available to rent for private events and parties. Learn more at HarmonySquare.org/studio67.

Hospitality Building 7-17-25

The third and largest structure is a near-replication of Teehan’s, originally built in the 1850s. Durbin's at Harmony Square also operates out of this structure and features a rooftop bar to allow diners to enjoy the weather and watch concerts in Harmony Square.

While the old Teehan’s structure was razed to make room for the new one, staff worked closely with the site design team to emulate the building’s classic exterior as faithfully as possible out of respect for Teehan’s long and storied legacy in Tinley Park.
