Village seeks Civil Service volunteers
The Village has openings on its Civil Service Commission and is inviting anyone age 21 or older who lives in Tinley Park to apply to volunteer and serve their community.
The Commission meets regularly at 6 p.m. the first and third Mondays of the month in the Council Chambers at Tinley Park Village Hall. The Commission is tasked with overseeing the hiring processes for patrol officers and lateral patrol officers, in addition to promotional processes for the position of sergeant. The Commission is guided by the Illinois Civil Service statute, in addition to the Village Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
