Great things are happening here in Tinley Park, and I wanted to take a few moments to let you know of one in particular. Loyola Medicine is proposing to construct a new two-story, 70,000-square-foot Advanced Ambulatory Care Center at 179th Street and LaGrange Road, with plans for it to be operational in 2023. The facility will be for primary care and a range of medical specialties including orthopedic surgery, oncology, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, urology, audiology and general surgery.
We couldn’t be more excited that Loyola Medicine has chosen Tinley Park for their newest location. Loyola Medicine offers first-rate medical services, and it’ll be great to have access to that kind of quality care right here in our own back yard.
Loyola Medicine is working with the Village in providing necessary easements for a future lift station that will allow the construction of water and sewer lines to benefit the development of the broader Tinley Park area.
The new facility, which will be located just west of Moraine Valley Community College’s satellite location, will include an immediate care center for walk-in patients seeking help for urgent but not life-threatening medical issues. Other features will include a comprehensive cancer care center, an imaging center, a retail pharmacy, 50 exam rooms, eight procedure rooms, an x-ray suite and a laboratory to support multiple disciplines.
The new facility is expected to employ as many as 130 people and will serve about 1,500 patients per week. The anticipated working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends.
I want to thank Community Development Director Kimberly Clarke, Village Manager Dave Niemeyer, Village Attorney Paul O’Grady, Village Lobbyist Tom Manion with the Rory Group, and all of the staff that worked so hard to bring this wonderful new medical facility to Tinley Park.
