Public Safety Awards

The Tinley Park Police Department recently held an employee awards ceremony at Andrew High School highlighting staff accomplishments over the previous calendar year. 

Police Chief Matthew Walsh thanked all officers, staff and their families for their continued dedication and support in advancing the Tinley Park Police Department’s mission of service and protection of all citizens. Numerous Village officials also were in attendance to commend public safety employees for the great services they provide to the Village.

The ceremony recognized individuals who have distinguished themselves and the Tinley Park Police Department by their exemplary acts of bravery, professionalism and praiseworthy deeds.

Award categories included the Lifesaving Award, the Department Commendation, the Unit Citation, the Honorable Mention Award and the Civilian Employee Appreciation Certificate, as well as special presentations by Chief Walsh recognizing the ongoing public safety partnership from the employees of the Village’s Emergency Management Agency and 911 Communications Center, Tinley Park Fire Department and the Tinley Park Public Works Department.
