Residents who are interested in hosting a block party on their street should submit an application at least two weeks in advance of the requested event date. The Village will review the application and send an email notification to the applicant indicating whether the request has been approved or denied.
You must complete a Special Event Request Form if you're requesting a visit from the Tinley Park Fire Department. You will be redirected to the form after completing the online application. If available, Tinley Park Police Department representatives will make an effort to attend if their presence is requested. The Police Department will be notified automatically after the form is submitted, so please don't call the department directly to request an appearance.
If requested, the Village will deliver barricades to the intersections scheduled for closure prior to the event. Residents are responsible for setting up the barricades at the start of the event and removing them from the roadway once the event concludes. Barricades should be placed back where they were originally dropped off. They will be picked up on Monday.
