The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews and makes recommendations to the Village Board on applications for variations when circumstances may require variations from the codes within the Village's zoning ordinances.
NOTE: The Village Board passed Ordinance 2021-O-53 amending Chapter 32 of the Village Code (Zoning Board of Appeals) to establish concurrent membership of Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. The members of the Plan Commission shall also serve as members of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and the chair of the Plan Commission shall also serve as the chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the first and third Thursday of the month in the Council Chambers at Tinley Park Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave..
Public Hearings are held when a property owner requests zoning entitlement actions such as a zoning variation. Notice is provided to advise the community that public comment is being accepted before a decision will be made at a formal public meeting.
