Overnight Parking

The Village of Tinley Park overnight parking request form will allow residents to request permission to park on Village streets necessitated by unexpected circumstances such as driveway repairs, overnight guests etc. Each submitted request is for one vehicle for a single calendar date. Exceptions can be requested for up to three (3) consectuive nights only. Violations will be subject to fines for each night exceeding the three consecutive night limit.

Tinley Park ordinance chapter 73 section 73.09 states:

"It shall be unlawful to park a vehicle on any street within the Village between the hours of 2:00 am and 5:00 am
on any day of the week."
Ordinance Violation Exceptions

All night parking shall be granted provided the citizen telephones or reports in person to the police department their name, address and vehicle information.

Exception shall only be granted up to three (3) consecutive nights. Any extension must be approved by a supervisor.

No exception shall be given when snow begins to fall and for a period of eight hours after snow stops falling, if the snow on the street exceeds one inch in depth, provided that the eight hour parking restriction shall continue during snow removal operations until complete.
