Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them on Tuesdays during the summer months along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place. Please note that there will be no Cruise Night on July 4 due to the Independence Day holiday.
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! The 2017 Music in the Plaza concert series will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on select Saturdays during the summer at Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Please keep in mind that Music in the Plaza is not a pet-friendly event.
This year's concerts will feature a new layout, with the stage on the south side of the parking lot and additional space on North Street for concertgoers. To accommodate this new layout, North Street will close at 6:30 p.m., and there will be no parking allowed in the vacant field behind E&B Liquors. Click here for a map of the layout.

Benches on the Avenue
The Village is holding its 14th annual Benches on the Avenue public art program along Oak Park Avenue from 172nd to 176th streets. Benches are created by both amateur and professional artists. The program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors annually to the downtown area. National Night Out
Join the Tinley Park Police Department at this annual, award-winning event every August in Zabrocki Plaza. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display.
Fire Prevention Month
Each year in October, the Tinley Park Fire Department and Prevention Bureau highlight fire prevention education, which culminates in the Fire Prevention Week Open House.
The annual Downtown Tinley Boo Bash takes place every year in October at the Oak Park Avenue train station and is great fun for families with young children. Activities include hayrides, a costume contest, trick-or-treating with local businesses, Halloween-themed games, DJ entertainment and more. Boo Bash
Downtown Tinley will be the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents its annual Holiday Happenings event for the whole family. The weekend includes the Mayor's Tree-Lighting Ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, an ice carving demonstration, campfires, live entertainment, the popular Holiday Market and much more!
Downtown Tinley Irish Parade
The annual Downtown Tinley Irish Parade occurs every March along Oak Park Avenue. The family-friendly event features floats, community groups, local schools and businesses.
Photos with the Bunny
Bring the family out for Photos with the Bunny every April at the Oak Park Avenue Metra train station, 6700 South Street, Tinley Park. Come have your photo taken with the big guy himself! Please bring your own camera.
The annual Discover Tinley Expo is held every April at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The event showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.
Downtown Tinley Block Party
The Village's annual Block Party takes place the third Sunday in July along Oak Park Avenue from 171st to Hickory streets. The event features food and free family fun such as a bean bag tournament, rides and inflatables, KidZone activities, a classic car show, live music on two stages and more! Please keep in mind that the Block Party is not a pet-friendly event.
