The Tinley Park Crime Prevention Committee is comprised of community members who assist the Tinley Park Police Department without compensation. The goals of the committee are to work closely with the Police Department in an effort to encourage more community involvement in the safety and welfare of residents of the Village of Tinley Park. Members participate in various events throughout the year including the Oak Park Avenue Festival of Lights Parade, Irish Parade, Discover Tinley and National Night Out.

The committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.. at the Tinley Park Police Department.
