  1. Public Hearing - Preliminary Engineering Study of 80th Avenue

    March 9, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Tinley Park Village Hall

    The Will County Division of Transportation (WCDT) will hold a public hearing on the preliminary engineering study of 80th Avenue from 191st to 183rd streets. WCDT staff and their engineering consultant will be available to discuss and answer questions regarding the need for the study, the improvement to widen the road to four lanes, right of way acquisition and relocation assistance, and the tentative construction schedule. Improvements to the intersections of 183rd, 185th, 189th and 191st streets with 80th Avenue and pedestrian and bicycle facilities also are proposed. Maps and exhibits will be available for viewing.

    March 9, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Tinley Park Public Library

    The Tinley Park Public Library will host Get Graphic! from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9. Do you like to talk about graphic novels and manga? Then this is for you! Play games, do activities and plan themes for the upcoming month. The topic for March is "Drawing." The program is for students in sixth through 12th grades. Registration begins online Feb. 20, and phone registration begins Feb. 21.

  3. Paint By Number with Julea Joseph

    March 9, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The Tinley Park Public Library will host Paint by Number with Julea Joseph as part of its Mix It Up series at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Parmesans Station (inside the 80th Avenue train station). Julea brings her newest and most daring ideas for using color in your home this year. Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a special basket of decorating goodies. Register in person, online or by phone beginning Feb. 20.
